As the apartment that we initially rented out was not available for the last 24 hours of our trip to Puerto Pollenca, we booked an apartment room at Hotel Daina; an establishment set right on the beach. The apartment is airy and bright and rather plush for the meaga price of £66 we paid for the night, with two sun terraces and modern feel.
It is the pool area however that really makes this hotel a winner. Positioned on a jetty along with a bar and lots of shady comfortable seating, the pool is surrounded by the sea on three sides, giving a delightful breeze during the inevitable sunbathing sessions that insue when on a relaxing beach holiday. It was here that I spent my last full day in Puerto Pollenca, swimming in the refreshingly cool salt water and attempting to indulge in some serious zen before I go back to working two jobs.
This evening we are cooking dinner in the apartment to keep costs down and then are heading down to the beachside bar to listen to music and have a few drinks – a lovely end to a holiday!
